Read all about it!

Hi Everyone,

Hope you are all doing well and are enjoying your weekend!

I haven't written a blog post for over a month and I know really I should be writing one at least every 2 weeks but these past few weeks I have been dealing with a lot of personal battles! As driven and as ambitious as I am, I always find that I have this little voice in my head that says, 'you can't do this' or ''your going to fail' and the most common one is 'it is too hard'! I have a daily battle with these voices in my head! Staying motivated is the most difficult thing when you are a business owner. I find that if I do at least one thing for the business each day then I have accomplished something! So today I am writing my well overdue blog post!

I want to talk about encouraging your children to explore their imagination! A child's imagination is so important from a young age! The purpose of an imagination is The faculty or action of forming new ideas, or images or concepts of external objects not present to the senses.

Imagination is truly amazing. Do you remember the things you use to dream about and think about when you were little? I remember I thought everything was so magical! Imagination is the reason we tell our children about Father Christmas and leave out that glass of milk and cookies and a carrot every Christmas Eve! It is the reason we put a coin under the pillow when a tooth falls out and Easter eggs around the house for them to be found! Our children should be encouraged to dream and imagine whatever it is that they want! If they want to be Spiderman today and Batman tomorrow then they should!

Imagination is a preview of life's coming attractions and should be celebrated. So in saying that, how will you encourage your boys imagination today! Don't be a dream killer. Be a dream giver and nurturer!

Then it is so!
My son is obsessed with cars and wants to a Formula 1 driver and also a transformer when he is older! Now I hear you laughing because of course he won't be a transformer when he is older right?! Well, yes he won't be a transformer but he could become an actor or director and produce a new transformers film! You see, sometimes you have to think outside the box!

Remember that Mini Men UK has an excellent 'Future Range' which encourages boys to become a Footballer, an Astronaut and a Fireman! You can shop now at www.minimenuk.com

Enjoy your weekend and inspire your boys to become extraordinary future men who we will all read all about in newspapers and magazines!

Happy Mother's Day!

Hey everyone!

Hope you are all well!

As you know it was Mother's Day yesterday and I hope you all had a terrific day and spent quality time with your loved ones.

Mothers are such important people. Yesterday really got me thinking about everything I have endured as a mother so far and all that has changed due to becoming one.
My priorities have all changed and the things I use to do, I know longer want to do! I believe being a mother is the most important job in the world!

Us mothers are our child's doctor, lawyer, accountant, friend and even enemy and we do all this with nothing but unconditional love. That love comes from the first moment you see your child and all you want to do is protect and nurture. I am grateful that I am able to experience this kind of love and I know all my hard work will ensure that my son grows into someone who will want to give back to the world!

I recently watched a documentary on BBC1 about the rapper and music producer, Will I Am and was brought to tears by the way he spoke of his mother and grandmother and the love he truly possesses for his family. He said without his mother and grandmother, he would not be the man he is today and he would never have achieved the things that he has been able to achieve. Their love and encouragement is the only reason he is a successful man today and is able to give back to the youth!

I pray that when my son is older that he can look at me and speak about me in exactly the same way Will spoke of his mother and grandmother. His mother was strict but she said this was because she did not want him to join a gang and become a nobody! She knew he was destined for better things!

Love your children and teach them that dreams can come true and that no dream is too big! I want all you mums to know you are doing such a great job and your hard work is not being unnoticed!
Your children are amazing and with your love they will become amazing adults too!

And for those of you that are expecting your first child, do not be scared and know that you will become a great mother!

Mini Men UK is all about nurturing young children and encouraging them to Think BIG! Check out my brand new Aspirational collection of Footwear and Bibs!

Mini Men UK has an attitude of gratitude!

Hi Everyone,

Hope you are all well!

So I have some amazing news! I have received a letter from Kensington Palace thanking me for sending my 'Born to be King' Baby Grow which is inspired by Prince George!

Available to buy at www.minimenuk.com

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge did not write to me directly however the letter has originated from Kensington Palace. I am absolutely elated that I have received a response!

I originally wanted to make the baby grow for young boys to make them feel as special as Royalty as this is how every mother feels about their child when he is born, small and precious! And as the nation was celebrating the birth of Prince George, the idea came to me to create this positive baby grow.

So the fact that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge actually gave me a 'Thumbs up' is absolutely fantastic!
I am ever so grateful to them for even taking the time to send me this letter!

I am clearly on the right path in terms of my designs! This particular baby grow is sold at The Tomorrow Store in Moorgate which is The Prince's Trust Shop and I have just had a request for more  as it seems to be quite popular!

This great news has given me the push I needed to commence on building my business and advance on my journey to reaching my goals I have set for 2014!

As I am now on track, I have been concentrating on creating new products that are great quality and affordable! I had some fabric especially made with my designs on it and I have been spending my evenings making baby shoes and bibs for my Spring/Summer 2014 collection.

The new products will be available on the Mini Men UK website by next week and I will be selling them at Portobello Market and The Children's Trust Easter Fair! Definitely looking forward to showcasing my products and getting feedback from my customers!

I hope you all have an amazing evening and remember to always have an attitude of gratitude! You never know which Royal will be writing to you!

I don't have dreams, I have goals!

Hi Everyone,

I hope you are well and starting to get that Friday feeling!

Recently I have been thinking about the many things I would like to achieve. I have been studying successful females such as Oprah Winfrey, Kimora Lee Simmons, Victoria Beckham and Vivienne Westwood and they all have similarities in the way they have become successful. Successful people set themselves goals and find ways to achieve them in order to be successful. Once they are achieved, they then set more goals and achieve those too!

So I sat down and made a list of all the things I have dreamt about. Growing up, I always wanted to live abroad, own my home, have a family and run a successful business. I would dream of how my life would be at age 35, age 40 and age 45 and I can honestly say, my life looks fantastic at these ages! I believed that all you had to do was dream and believe and your dreams would come true.

But now I know that in order for your dreams to become true, you have to work hard! You have to think about your dreams and then set small goals in order to achieve the big dream!

Staying motivated and believing in yourself are the main attributes you need in order to be successful and even though I am still only really starting my journey to success, I feel that I will meet each and everyone of my goals and live that lifestyle that I want for myself and my family. Don't get me wrong, there are days when I feel down and feel like I am not progressing. There are days when I want to give up and just go and get a full time job so that I have regular money coming in. But then I think, that is not my dream and in the words of Lupita Nyong'o:

I absolutely adore this young lady and watching her performance in 12 years a slave was just breath taking and she completely deserved to win her Oscar for Best Supporting Actress! And the fact that she has been able to achieve so much at such a young age, really motivates me to do something incredible with my life! Lupita I salute you!

So I will continue to work on my clothing brand, Mini Men UK which is now being sold at The Prince's Trust shop- The Tomorrow Store in Moorgate, London.

You can also take advantage of Mini Men UK's sale which is currently taking place on our website www.minimenuk.com

Hope everyone has an amazing dream and remember to set your goals and achieve!

Life is what you make it!

Hi everyone!

So we are in a brand new year and it feels great to be able start a new year with such a positive outlook!

2013 was a challenging year and in reflecting back on all that happened, I can truly say I am  grateful to still be alive! I met some really amazing people, realised that I could achieve things I thought I never could, experienced new things and shared some great times with friends and family!

I have set my new goals for 2014 and this time I have kept it really simple! I think last year I was trying to conquer the world but from learning that this is not possible to do alone, I have just set myself 3 goals. One small, one medium and one large goal.
I won't say what they are, you will just have to join me on my journey to find out but I am going to do all I can to reach each one of them!

I believe the upsets I had last year will help me to build a stronger business this year and also to become a better person. To stop feeling like a failure, you have to do something and start living!

Being a business owner is not easy and there are days when I just feel that I want to give up however, if it was easy, everybody would be doing it right?

2013 is gone and with it we lost some truly amazing people and I hope through them going, we can all realise that life is a blessing and you can either go on living it with 20% happiness and 80% unhappiness or you can make a change this year and swap those percentages around!

I've started working on some great new products and looking at ways to make Mini Men UK a great clothing brand! I am first pair of baby shoes which I am extremely proud of!

Please do check out my great new website www.minimenuk.com
There are some really great sale items and also beautiful baby grows for your little king.

One last thing, join me in setting 3 goals for yourself this year and Live your dream. It is not as hard as it may seem!

Thank you for reading my blog and please do comment and share with your friends and family.

It has been a very busy few months for me and there have been so many changes it is hard to keep up sometimes! I  have been fortunate to attend my first two Christmas Fairs. There were numerous business involved in the Christmas Fair i.e Molton Brown and Book People to name a few.

I was very honoured to be accepted sell at the offices and met some really wonderful people! I would like to thank Matt Tragheim for all his assistance on the two days I was at the Morgan Stanley offices! Also to my mentor, Peter Renshaw for his support on both days! You are a star!

I also attended The Princes Trust's Christmas Fair and found out that Mini Men UK was selling very well in the Tomorrow Store next door to the offices and managed to sell most of my stock at the fair too! Superconnector!

Hi everyone! I hope you are all well.

Well the summer has officially come to an end! It's the beginning of a great Autumn/Winter season.

I know I have not put a post up for a few months now but I promise you it is due to sheer lack of time! I have been so busy selling Mini Men UK Clothing and learning about being a business owner that I have not had a chance tell to write anything!

It has been a great summer and I was busy selling in fairs and markets, trying to create brand awareness. I am quite a shy person when it comes to talking to new people and I have found it difficult coming out of my shell however since taking part in the Millionaire Minds Seminar, I always say to myself, 'Feel the fear and do it anyway'! This usually makes me get through the uncomfortable situations I have to put myself in for me to grow more as an entrepreneur.

Mini Men UK now has some new stockists. We are now available at Little Beau in Cranleigh, New 2 U Ewell in Ewell, Just Boys in Paignton and still available at Mini Wardrobe- miniwardrobe.com

I am very grateful to have these stockist and I encourage everyone to go out and buy Mini Men UK garments from these great Independent businesses!

I also attended a seminar yesterday called Women In Business at the Morgan Stanley offices in Canary Wharf! For those of you who are not familiar with Morgan Stanley, it is the global leading Financial Services Firm! I was invited to take part in the seminar to showcase my business and discuss the obstacles that I have had to deal with in order to get to where I am now! I was so in awe of all the women that were there especially the women who worked at Morgan Stanley as I know it is not an easy field to get into especially as a woman. It is a predominantly male environment!

I felt relieved that I am not the only person that has a problem with confidence and dealing with bad news. I am very grateful to The Princes Trust for hosting this event and for Morgan Stanley giving me and the other entrepreneurs the opportunity to learn from their staff.

I am currently putting a competition together which I will be announcing early next week. I am also going to be introducing my new baby range to Mini Men UK and will be showcasing a few baby grows for the lead up to Christmas.

Mini Men UK will be at a few Christmas Markets and we will also be at the official Princes Trust Christmas Fair on the 4th of December!
Don't forget to 'Like' the Facebook page www.facebook.com/minimenukltd or follow us on Twitter at www.twitter.com/minimenukltd to get updates of where I will be selling.

In the mean time, I promise not to leave it so long again to send out a post and will keep you all Superconnected!

Time to make your dreams a reality!

Hi guys!

I hope everyone is well and have been enjoying the little bit of sunshine that we had the past few weeks!

I have been so busy I have not had a chance to write my blog and I feel terrible that I have been slacking in this department! Please forgive me!

So I will start from the beginning, I managed to manufacture my summer collection and we had a great photo shoot with Early Moments Photography in Woking. Kim, the owner is a very experienced photographer and captures some really great images!

As you can see, our models were very happy and cute little boys and they really did a great job!
I would like to thank their mothers, Maria, Clare and Lisa for agreeing to have them take part in the shoot and I really hope you all like the images.

With completing my collection, I have also been attending Brixton Market for their Brix Mix and Makers Market. I can say that attending these markets has really opened my eyes on how much work is needed to run your business. I have been getting lots of advice from the market traders on what I need to do in order to gain more customers and try to entice them with my great offers!

Mini Men UK will also be at Greenwich Market next week so if you are in the area, please do come and say hi!

We will also be at a few Summer Fairs this summer at some local schools in order for parents to see our new clothing brand!

Mini Men UK is currently looking for Brand Ambassadors! It is a great opportunity for anyone who wants to make some extra money! Please do get in contact with me via the website if you are interested. www.minimenuk.com

My other great news is that Mini Men UK is now available to order at Mini Wardrobe! Yay! Mini Wardrobe is an online store that sells fashionable and trendy childrenswear and gifts for the 0-12 year old age group. 'It is not only a “one-stop shop” for children’s clothing but also an interactive and innovative destination designed to make it fun and exciting to discover and shop for new clothes and gifts online'.

I am so excited and feel ever so privileged to have my first stockist! I cant wait to see what happens with my clothing and really want all parents out there to buy my clothes knowing that their boys are being influenced by the positive slogans!

You can order my clothing from Mini Wardrobe by going to www.miniwardrobe.com
or order directly from us at www.minimenuk.com

Mini Men UK will be at Woodmansterne Primary School in Banstead, this Saturday for the Summer Fair! It starts at 12 noon and ends at 3pm. If you are in this area, please do come along as I will have some great special offers on the day! Come and grab a bargain!

Party time!

Hi everyone!

I hope you are all well!

I am so sorry I have not blogged for quite some time but I have been so busy getting things together for the official launch of Mini Men UK.

My clothing has finally arrived and I can now say that Mini Men UK is officially open for business!! Yay!!!

I am so excited to see all of my wonderful customers and for them to enjoy putting their little men into Mini Men UK clothing!

To mark this joyous occasion I have decided to host a party! It will be a launch party for all my friends and family, customers and The Prince's Trust mentors who helped me get to where I am. I just really would love to be able to thank everyone that has been there for me and helped me and also given such wonderful advice.

I will be having the party on the 8th of June (The day before my gorgeous boys 4th birthday) and would like to invite anyone of  you who can attend. It will be in Banstead, Surrey and I will give you the full details closer to the time!

Now, with more good news, Mini Men UK was featured in the Children's Wear Buyer magazine as the 'Brand to Watch' and I was so ecstatic when I saw my company featured in the magazine. I would like to say a very big thank you to Laura, the editor of the magazine for all her help! You are fantastic!

Please feel free to browse my new website and purchase any of the items you see as I am fully in stock and also will be featuring my new scooter range t-shirts at the beginning of June for those little scooter heads that love riding! The new designs will be so cool for you.

You can now shop at www.minimenuk.com

Happy shopping guys and I will update you soon!

Never give up!

Hi everyone,

Hope you are all well!

It has been a busy few weeks and I have been trying so hard to keep focused. My clothing is nearly ready and the last few pieces to the puzzle are being completed!

It's April and I can honestly say that this year so far has not been the best  and I have had so many knock backs that I have been very close to just giving up!

For example, I saw an advert about a Space Academy here at Merland Rise church across the street from me and thought I would grab the opportunity of asking the organiser if I could promote my Future Astronaut Hoodies and To Infinity top to the parents signing their children up. In exchange for this privilege, I would be happy to make a donation to the church for each sale made or even volunteer at the church.

Well you would have thought I had insulted her, the way she replied to me was absolutely shocking! And I am glad I did not sign up my son for the Academy as I would not want to leave my child with this woman!

I realised that people will always want to bring you down especially if they are unhappy with their own lives.  Had I been a weak person, I probably would have burst out crying and given up and my dream would be thrown away all because one poxy little volunteer knocked me back!!

Life is too short to be letting such insignificant people deter you from you aspirations! There will always be jealous people, mean people and people who are just miserable! As much as you want to smack them in the face, hold your anger back and kill them with kindness.

My response to the volunteer was, 'there is no need to be so rude but thank you for your time'! I can honestly say I wanted to say something else but I held back and I am going to do my best to continue to do that whenever someone is rude!

Focus on the end result and never let anyone think they have gotten the best of you! If they think they have, they know they have won and you know how the saying goes, 'misery loves company'!

Here are some great quotes to boost you for the day and remember, no one can stop you! Only you!
